VILLAGE OF HOPE
The Village of Hope is an innovative self-sustaining community for women & children. This project is an educational, renewable energy, humanitarian project with the first prototype being built in West Africa's Niger Delta through 100 hectares of land. Structures withstand Category 5 Hurricanes and extreme weather temperatures. This project is supported by the Nkporo community which has donated the land for use for the construction of this very secure community, The African Women Economic Consortium is contracting with Joe Byers and his Pleasant Valley Energy, LLC/New York U.S.A. It is our goal that this project once complete will be a Renewable Energy Center of Excellence to provide schools and hospitals for the people of West Africa. The men and women of the village will participate in the construction of the village so that they are participants in the process.
The Joe Dome will provide the village with the opportunity to grow additional kinds of fruits and vegitables that would normally not grow in the African environment. It will provide the village with clean water, as well as electricity. We will also engage in waste management using waste products within the village. Surrounding the village will be a school, library, health clinic and housing for guests from surrounding towns or from outside the country who would visit to participate in the events and programs in the village of hope.
A rice mill and a market place will be available for the residents to sell their products and wares in the community to sustain themselves.
The same housing project will be constructed in the United States for similar purposes, for women and children who are victims of abuse or displacement. Below are the pictures of the prototypes for the solar panneled schools , library , health and mental health centers.
