Their hard work and dedication to procuring the most interesting stories make it possible to produce such quality books and thus the opportunity for you to read the heart warming and inspirational stories. Kimiko Foreman

Kimiko Foreman resides in Lansing Michigan with her husband, 2 sons and one daughter.  A member of the Federation for World Peace and the Family Peace Church, Kimiko works to create a peaceful world without wars. An accomplished artist, Kimiko is known for her creative greeting cards and origami art.  Kimiko hails from Bessenay and attended Ukiha High School in Japan. Kimiko is a very active participant in the activities of the Family Peace Church and diligent in introducing people to the work of the federation for world peace both internationally and nationally. 

 
 
Dr. Elsie P.  Jackson

Dr. Elsie P.  Jackson is an adjunct faculty at two universities:  Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan and Northern Caribbean University, Mandeville Jamaica. She is currently teaching online classes in research and writing as well as chairing and consulting on more than ten dissertations. Dr. Jackson has a BS in Business Education, from North Carolina Central University,nan MA in Child Development and a PhD in Educational Psychology, with emphasis on School Psychology, from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been teaching since 1963 and has taught students from kindergarten thru university doctoral programs.  Her teaching and consultation experience has taken her to work in various countries outside the United States including England, Hungary, France, Romania, Kenya, Bermuda and the Caribbean Islands of Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago.  Her areas of interest are Human Growth and Development, Parenting, Marriage and Family Life, Social Systems and Culture, Leadership Development and Research. She loves community work. Over the years she has consulted with professional and religious organizations on topics such as Parenting, women’s issues, marriage enrichment, cultural diversity issues, recruitment and retention of minority students, effective leadership, self-esteem issues, sexuality and the vintage years, and the nature of intelligence. Her husband is Theodore Jackson.  They have been married more than 50 years.  They have two adult children and two grandchildren.  

 
Olivia Jackson

Olivia Jackson by profession is a Senior Financial/Credit Analyst, who has worked for several Fortune

500 companies in the prestigious Silicon Valley, Ca (Cisco Systems Inc., Yahoo Inc. to name a few) for 25+ years. She attended Morris Brown College of the Atlanta University Center (AUC) 1989-1992 in Atlanta Ga, with a Business Major. From her life's experiences she has uncovered her life's purpose, discovering the power that lies within and recovered her authentic self. Rooted in African Centeredness, Ancient African principles, practices and traditions she aspires to be a Spiritual Life Coach, dedicating the remainder of her life to the uplifting and Empowerment of African people across the globe. A Writer, Poet, Singer, Activist, Pan Africanist, self-appointed Community Youth Group Leader, she engages, teaches, encourages and nurtures local youth in her community, the study of their African Heritage and legacy. She hosts gatherings where documentaries of Ancient to present day African contributions to the world are reviewed and discusses. Arming young people and Parents alike, from many different backgrounds and walks of life with Knowledge of Self, African Spirituality, Ancient Astrology, Moorish Science, Self-Love, Social, Political positioning, Group Economic and overall, "Together we Rise" sense of Pride from an African perspective. Honored in purpose she now moves confidently in the direction of her dreams. Adaora Osimiri-Lewis

Adaora Osimiri-Lewis is the Vice-president of the African Women Economic Consortium, serving also as the Events Planner. A creative events. Adaora uses color texture and eclectic model for her creative events. Her events planning skills has earned her some acclaim in the Michigan and Atlanta areas. Adaora is also the Creator and Editor-in-chief for Prysm Magazine. Adaora has a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Business Administration from New York Institute of Arts. She has worked extensively as an academic advisor for students attending the AWEC financial literacy and grant writing classes and workshops. She is also the Historian for AWECs grant writing program. Adaora is responsible for advising students of the core class requirements to assure that they are on the right track and meeting their academic requirements. Adaora is married and has two young sons.

 

 
 
Nnenne Onyioha

Nnenne Onyioha-Clayton, MS, LMT is a healing and proud arts professional, holistic nutritionist practitioner of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, a Polynesian form of shamanic bodywork. Nnenne has been writing poetry and short fiction from the age of eight, and since 2009 has been a regular contributor to an online webzine, a wellness blog and poetry sites. Nnenne is passionate not only about writing but also about wellbeing modalitiess that place personal stories, consciousness and will at the center of the healing process. Indeed, she is just as likely to prescribe as nourishment haiku poetry, colors and symphonies as she is rest, minerals and greens. As a child of West African, American and Celtic heritage, she continually draws inspiration from the rich intermingling of these cultures, experienced while growing up and living in the USA, Nigeria and the UK.

 

 
 
Felix and Paula Sirls

Felix Sirls is employed with formally known as Detroit Health & Wellness Promotions (Now) Institute for Public Health (IPH).  Felix is an HIV counselor & HIV tester and has been for over 12 years.  Mr. Sirls has been working and advocating for HIV care and service for 30 yrs. In 3 states California, Texas and Michigan.  Mr. Sirls is a poet preforming his body of work and books around the world accompanied by his wife Paula. 

 

Paula Sirls is Felix Sirls wife and is the Program Manager for Gospel Against AIDS (GAA).  Their goal is to equip houses of worship with HIV education, dispel meth and to eliminate the stigma associated w/ a person living with HIV.  Since 2010 GAA has become and HIV testing site which means that a church can offer HIV testing during and after an educational seminar or at a health fair.  Together the Sirls sit on several HIV/AIDS planning bodies were they both served as Co-chairs for the Michigan HIV/AIDS Council.  Are the facilitators of Positive Support Organization are speakers for the Positive Perspective Speakers Bureau, Gospel Against AIDS, consult w/ WSU (MI education & Training Centers METAC)  medical students advising them on HIV education and healthier out comes for patients.  Many have called on the Sirls for presentation in every area some need them to be a part of their class project.  They’ve presented in schools, prisons, beauty shops in many of the substance abuse treatment facilities around the City of Detroit.   They will and have travel to many colleges U of MI, MSU, CMU just to name a few to be a voice for HIV awareness and Prevention.  They have 9 children/ 18 grandchildren and plan to continue HIV education & awareness until they get to ZERO! 

 

 

 

Cheryl Urbonya

Cheryl (Chere) Glass Urbonya was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, where she currently teaches Spalding reading skills at Pam’s Academy of Champions, a small, private, Christian school. 

After joining the Family Federation for World Peace in 1974, Chere and her husband, Michael, were blessed in marriage in New York City at Madison Square Garden in 1982.  They have one daughter who is a graduate of the University of Michigan and one son who attends Michigan State University. The known “colors” of her family are: African American, American Indian, Swiss, Yugoslavian/Slovenian, German, Spaniard, and French Canadian.
